Pulse

While the nation mourns a senseless tragedy, local residents are finding ways to show their support for the victims of the shooting at Pulse in Orlando.

Here are a few things you can do in the Boston area to help raise awareness and/or lend your support:

VIGILS

Medford, June 15 – A vigil will be held at Grace Episcopal Church (160 High St) starting at 6PM. Official Facebook Event here.

Cambridge, June 18 – A vigil will be held at 4:30PM, more details to come.

DONATIONS

Orlando residents turned out in record numbers immediately following the tragic Pulse shooting. Blood banks reached capacity soon after a call was put out, but more donations will be needed as they work through that supply.

It is never a bad time to remind everyone about the importance of local blood supplies, so check out the American Red Cross for a location or drive near you.

Anyone who is willing and able to lend financial support to victims can visit the official GoFundMe page, run in partnership with Equality Florida and the National Center for Victims of Crime.

LOCAL LGBT SUPPORT

Greater Boston PFLAG lists a number of ally organizations in the area.

MISSING FAMILY/FRIENDS
